Cooperator Of The Year 

Drew and Joan Norman are the owners of One Straw Farm, an MDA certified organic vegetable farm located in White Hall, Maryland.  One Straw Farm is an example of a farm that prioritizes soil health and has taken the initiative to work with the District to improve their farming operation.  Practices installed while working with the District through the EQIP, RCPP and MACS programs include shallow wetlands, forested wetland buffer, high tunnel and grassed waterway.  In addition, they are currently working with our office to expand their irrigation and establish contour farming in fields experiencing erosion. ​
